Sue finds a playful way to bring yoga philosophy and modern science to her classes. Her background in nursing allows her to unite the 8 limbs of yoga with positive health principles.
Weaving stories of ancient mythology with today's postures, she adds a dose of mindfulness and ample time for meditation and relaxation, making sure that each student finds a sense of ease and confidence in their yoga practice .
In addition to teaching workshops and classes at several studios and private clients, she currently serves as a lead teacher of the Om On Yoga Advanced 300-hour Teacher Training Program.
She serves an Ambassador and is on the Board of Project Yoga Richmond, a nonprofit that brings yoga to undeserved populations in the Greater Richmond, VA community. She teaches yoga and mindfulness in English and Spanish to ESL middle school students through the Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, also participating in their mentoring program.
Sue fell in love with yoga as a student at Glenmore Yoga and Wellness, trained there, and still teaches there. She continues to study with many renowned teachers and was initiated into the unbroken lineage of teachers at The Himalayan Institute. She has also appeared in Mantra Yoga + Health Magazine. Her love of travel has taken her to many parts of the world, from Europe to Hawaii, from South America to Bali, the Caribbean and across North America.
Having completed The Goddess Yoga Project, she is currently studying with the year-long Urban Priestess Mystery School training, which connects women around the world and taps into ancient wisdom traditions, applying them to our current world.
Sue is certified in Traditional Thai Massage and Thai Foot Reflexology, and also with YoKids K-12. She continues to improve her harmonium and ukulele skills and is still trying to get her therapy beagles to behave.
