INDIGO FEST IS A "GREEN FEST"
What does that mean?
INDIGO FEST was created with an intention geared towards a "Zero Carbon Footprint" mindset.
INDIGO FEST is also a "Zero Waste" fest. All items brought into the fest that are not a compost item or a recyclable plastic, must leave with the pass holder.
With this in mind, every You.Are.Venus. Retreat, Workshop or Fest, will be environmentally friendly and sustainability focused; holding strong views towards "reduce, reuse, compost and recycle" practices.
While festivals can be expansive, liberating and create a space of co-creation, they can also produce a heavy amount of waste and environmental destruction.
INDIGO FEST does not provide any plastic bottles of any kind. Participants will be provided with drinking water stations, recycle bins and compost disposal. All pass holders will be responsible with how much waste they create.
During the layout and design of the INDIGO FEST, minimal change to the environment is made. We believe every bush, tree and flower has its place within the space we inhabit.
By these very simple and logical environmental practices, we can help shift the perception of what a fest consists of and leaves behind.
